Properties :

  • Good resistant to acids and alkali in full concentration, (see table attached)
  • Suitable for coating tanks, tankers and kettles with chemicals also the ones produce chemical reactions with heat in working process.

  • Wait time after mixing A and B before the start of painting: 10 minutes and stir again with a mechanical mixer.
  • Heat resistance – 121OC for 1 hour without any changes in film quality and hue color.
  • Hot oil durability – 121OC for 24 hours without changes in quality and hue color.
  • Hydraulic oil resistance – 65OC for 24 hours without changes in film quality and hue color.
  • Solvents durability -50 time rubbing with a cloth soaked in MEK no peeling of paint from film.
  • Distilled water resistant – 4 days in temperature 49OC – no imperfections of the film.

Color:

  • Standard yellow.
  • Red/Brown, grey.

Gloss:

  • Matt < 5% (ASTM D 523) with 60o

Touch dry time:

  • 12 minutes to 5 hours. (This parameter is affected by ambient temperature, due to the fast drying on a hot day – avoid while spraying from over spray “dust”)

Dry time between layers:

  • 6-8 hours. Final: 8 hours.

Application method:

  • Brush, roller, spraying.
  • Spray gun – inner pressure 4 atm.
  • Airless – 0-5% dilution nozzle 0.021″

Dilution:

  • D-4/100 thinner (MIL-T-81771 Type II)
  • Brush – 10-25% volume according to need if appearance of “orange peel” you can increase the dosage to 35% .
  • Spray gun – 10-25%
  • Airless –0-5%

surface preparation:

  • Clean from dust, grease, dirt and loose paint.
  • Old paint – sand well and remove dust with air pressure and clean with cloth moistened with thinner.
  • Ferrous metals: new steel – we recommend cleaning with sand blasting to SA 2.5 – a white metal, maintenance works – for rusty surfaces: mechanical brush cleaning – ST3, and without rust – ST2, galvanized steel – sand until matte surface until no bright areas.
  • Very large objects – paint removing with paint remover MZ-83 and rinsing with water to neutralize.
  • Sanding or spraying soft plastic/sand and cleaning.

Primer:

  • This paint is red-brown shade, Epoxyden HB19 solcoat, Epoxyden zinc-rich.

Top layer:

  • This paint is top coat.

Instructions for use:

  • Open carefully parts A and B separately and mix each well.
  • Pour from both parts the necessary quantity in the right ratio and mix well with mechanical mixer (best operated by air pressure, for safety reasons).
  • Wait 10 min. and mix again while adding thinner as required.
  • Pour to the paint sprayer and spray smooth uniform layer for at least 23 microns thickness and until 300 microns if there are no leaks.
  • If necessary if uneven layer or part not painted perfectly, wait about 4 hours (up to 12 hours if not dried out completely or else the layer might collapsed or shrink, shrinkage depends on the amount of thinner in the paint , as having less thinner so you can paint thicker layer without contraction, on a hot day allow the thinner evaporate before spraying another layer)
  • Rinse well painting equipment after finish painting.

Pot Life after mixing A+B of 5 liters:

  • At temperature 15oC – 4 hours
  • At temperature 20oC – 3 hours
  • in temperature 25OC – 2 hours.
  • At temperature 30OC – 1.5 hours
  • At temperature 35oC – 1 hour

 Ventilation:

  • Air quantity required for 1 liter of mixture Epoxyden 3034: achieving 10% of the LEL = 65M3 to obtain the TLV = 990 M3

Packaging:

  • 3.4 + 1.6 = 5 liters.
