Tutgum Ship intermediate paint layer grey HB. Chlorinated rubber mid. layer.

Special polymers, High build mid. layer for ship marine system paints. Used as a mid. layer for humid, salt and corrosive environment conditions for long period durability. Used as a mid. layer to synthetic, phenolic and chlorinated rubber top layer paints.

  • Fast dry, easy to implement.
  • Excellent protection from rust.
  • Suitable for sea environment demands.
  • Can be sprayed in one layer thickness of 150 microns.
  • High build, Provides protection for many years.

Technical data: 

  • Theoretical surface coverage- 1 liter/7-10 m 2
  • Recommended layers number- 1-2, layer thickness: 70-80 microns.
  • Possible layer thickness in one spray- 150 mic.
  • Flexibility- 1 mm (Sheen).
  • Viscosity- 2-3 Sec (Haake).
  • Density- 1.2-1.4 gr/cm3.
  • Hardness – 10 Dg (Erichsen).

Content:

  • Special polymeric resin.
  • Zinc chromate.
  • Pigments, Dryers, Fillers,
  • Thixotropic additives.
  • Thinners and additives.

Color:

  • Grey.

Gloss:

  • Matte.

 Touch-Dry:

  • 11 Up to 20 minutes (Avoid spraying with Over spray).

(If  formed dust Retardant must be added).

Dry time between layers:

  • 8 hours (In oven 80°c to 30 minutes). Final: 16 hours.

Implementing  Method:

  • Brush, roller, Immersion, Spray is recommended.

Dilution:

  • Brush and roller- 5-10% D-18 thinner
  • Spray-.15-20% D-18 Thinner, 3-4 pressure, nozzle 1.6 mm.
  • Airless- 5-10% D-18 Thinner, 5-6 pressure, nozzle 0 .021″.
  • Immersion- 100% thinner.

Surface preparation:

  • Removal of dust, dirt and grease until getting white metal.
  • Mechanical- Steel brushes.
  • Chemical- Rust- Degreaser 3000, Grease- Degreaser M.
  • Sand blast cleaning- Level 2.5 SA.

Packing:

  • 1, 2.5, 5 and 18 liters.

Storage:

  • Store in well shaded place, room

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in original

Tools cleaning:

  • At the end of the application with D-18 thinner.

Safety precautions:

  • Inedible, keep away from the reach of children.
  • Flammable – keep distant from heated areas, fires, flames, and sparks, Prohibit smoking in working area.
  • While applying, good air ventilation is important. In case there is not enough air, use ventilation according to the ventilation table.
  • Wear protective glasses, gloves and suits.
  • Avoid direct contact of the paint and/or thinner with the eyes and skin. In case of  contact, immediately wash thoroughly with water.
  • In case of an injury immediately get doctors assistance.
  • Read the safety instructions on the labels.
