Phenolic top coat layer, Fast drying

Phenolic paint, Resistant to acids, Salts, Corrosive chemicals and alkali environment. Used as a top coat on Denberust primer 3309 from the same family, and an excellent phenolic layer system is created. This layer is resistant to very tough conditions, in chemical, acidic and alkaline environment.

Applications:

  • Especially as a top layer in phenolic paint system.
  • A top coat for machines and aid equipment for ships.
  • For conveying systems in naval and harbor.
  • A top coat to metal construction in chemical factories- equipment and machines.
  • For chemical storage tanks as chemistry, resist top coat.
  • For phosphate lines top coat against chemical attack and corrosion anti rust primer , fuels and oils piping.

  • Theoretical surface coverage – 1 liter per 15 m2.
  • Recommended layers number- 2,
  • Layer thickness: 35 mic.
  • Flexibility – 1mn (SHEEN).
  • Viscosity – 1-2 Sec (HAAKE).
  • Density – 1.2-1.4 gr/cm3.
  • Toughness/Hardness – >3 Dg (Erichsen).

Touch-Dry:

  • 30-120 minutes..

Dry Between Layers:

  • 8-24 hours, Final :16-24 hours

Implementing   Method:

  • Brush, Spray, airless.

Dilution:

  • Brush –  5% mineral Turpentine.
  • Spray- 10-15% D-18 Thinner, 3-4 atm. pressure.
  • Airless- 5-10% D18 Thinner, 5-6 atm. pressure, nozzle0.018″.

Surface preparation:

  • Mechanical or chemical cleaning until getting white metal.
  • Mechanical- Steel brushes.
  • Chemical- Rust- Degreaser 3000, Grease- Degreaser M.
  • Sand cleaning- Level 2.5 SA.

Primer Paint:

  • Denberust 3309 phenolic as a primer.
  • Tutgum zinchromate.

Packing:

  • 5 and 18 liters.

Storage:

  • store in well shaded place, room temp with appropriate ventilation.
  • Keep lid hermetically sealed.

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in original package.

Tools Cleaning:

  • At the end of the application with D-18 Thinner or Mineral Turpentine.
  • Keep lid tightly closed.
