Topcolor Aluminium 200°C HT

Synthetic paint for heat up to 200°C.

Properties:

  • Adheres well to metals.
  • Rigid and resistant paint.
  • Outstanding resistance to humid atmosphere.
  • Not easily affected by direct contact with light acids.
  • Not easily affected by direct contact with alkali solutions.
  • Resistant to slight wear and several water rinses.
  • The aluminum particles produce sealing and isolation.

Applications:

  • Mainly as surface paint for steam systems and piping.
  • Steamers machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Chemical plants equipment and machines.
  • Heat transducers.

Technical Data:

  • Theoretically covered area 1 liter per 10 m2
  • Recommended layer thickness  35 microns.
  • Recommended number of layers  1 or 2
  • Flexibility  1 mm (SHEEN),
  • Viscosity   1-2 Pa.sec(HAAKE).
  • Density   1.2-1.4 gm/cm3
  • Hardness  3 Dg (Erickson).

  • Aluminum.

Sheen:

  • Shiny.

Dry to touch:

  • Within 30-120 minutes.

Dry between layers:

  • Within 8-24 hours, final 16-24 hours.

Application Methods:

  • Brushing, roller. Spraying or airless,

Thinning:

  • Brushing 5% D-18 thinner
  • Spraying 10-15% D-18 at 3-4 atm. pressure.
  • Airless 5-10% D-18 at 5-6 atm. pressure, 018 spout.

Surface Preparation:

  • Cleaning mechanically or chemically until obtaining white metal.
  • Mechanical: steel brushing.
  • Chemical: rust degreaser 3000; grease  degreaser M
  • Sand blast cleaning level 2.5 SA.

  • Topcolour aluminum red/brown.

Packaging:

Storage:

  • At room temperature in protected area.

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in original packing.

Tool Cleansing:

  • Mineral turpentine or D-18 immediately after use.
