EPOXYDEN 5555 PHENOLIC FOR OVEN HEAT CURING –Primer and topcoat approved for drinking water pipes and tanks. And for coating lining tanks for oils, solvents, chemicals.  

One component epoxy phenolic high build for stoving. For coating drinking water tanks, and pipes. Fuel and chmical pipes.

Suitable for aggressive corrosion environment level C5-I standard ISO 12944-6. For chemicals ISO 2812-1, Humidity cabinet ISO 6270, Salt spray ISO 7253, forstanding in level – HIGH.

Properties:

  • One component for stoving.
  • Tough, scratch resistance.
  • Approved for drinking water by ISRAEL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS 5452. TEST No. 8412234992.
  • Durable in acjds and alkalic chemicals.
  • Durable in fuels and solvents.
  • Suitable for internal coating of water pipes. And any others industrial for chemicals.
  • Primer and topcoat. Good adhesion to metal and concrete,
  • Anticorrosive, prevent rust.
  • Can be applied in some layers for thick coat.
  • Resistant to salt and wet environment and durable in oils, fuels and solvents.
  • Washable and repulsive dust & dirt repelant.
  • Durable in constant hot water 80oC.

  • STOVING TIME AND HEAT NEEDED:
  1. first layer 30 mic. dry – 15-30 minutesin 179-0-180 oC.
  2. Second layer 20 mic. dry – 15-30 min. in 190-200 oC.
  • Durability in dry heat – 121oC for 7 days without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Durability in hot soler – 65oC for 7 days without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Durability in hot mazut – 65oC for 7 days without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Durability in hot oil – 121oC for 24 hours without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Durability in hydraulic oil – 65oC for 4 days without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Durability in solvents – 25 cycles (50 times) rubbing drug dipped in MEK on 7 days dry paint. without any changes in film quality or color change and no paint on the drug.
  • Durability in distilled water – 49oC for 4 days without any changes in film quality or color change.
  • Humidity cabinet – 3000 hr. in 100% humidity pannel painted 150 mic with scratch – no rust signs (ASTM 2247).
  • Salt spray – 2000 hr. with scratch – no rust signs untill 5 mm ASTM B 117-97,table 1 level 5.
  • Adhesion test – masking tape 3M gluing under 2 kg pressure for1 hr. – no paint peeling.
  • Chemicals resist; iso 2812-1 168 hr. in solutions: 10% NaOH, 10% H2SO4, turpentine with 18% aromatics, for tests Lm-1 water , Lm-2 sodium chloride 5% – there will be no peeling, bubles, or anydefect.

Colors:

  • Black, red oxide, grey, white, cream.

Gloss:

  • Matte <5 %  (ASTM D 523) 60o lenss.

Repainting Gap Time:

  • 24 hours.

Recommended Application Methods:

  • Spray, brush,roller.
  • spray gun – 4 atm. inlet pressure nozzle 1.5 mm
  • Airless nozzle 0.021″ pressure 5-7 atm/  dilution 0-5%.

Dilution:

  • Spray gun- 15-35% thinner D-4/100 (MIL-T-81771 Type II ) pressure 4-5
  • Airless- 0-5% D-4/100, pressure 6-7 nozzle- 0.021″/0.023″
  • Roller/brush- 5-15% D-4/100.

Surface Preparation:

  • Mechanical or chemical cleaning until a white metal appear,
  • Mechanical: steel brushes ST-2.5.
  • Chemical: rust -“rust remover 3000”, grease/oil -“Degreazer M”.
  • Recommended – Sand blast cleaning: level SA 5-3.0.

Instruction for use:

  • Surface preparation asrecommanded.
  • Open carefully and stir well.
  • Pour needed quantity and addthinner.
  • Blend well for homogenous mixture.
  • Blend again and spray first coat 20-30 mic. dry.Enter the oven for 15-30 minutes stoving in temp. 170-180oC.
  • After 24 hours spray second layer  20-30 mic. and enter to the oven for 30 minutes in 190-200oC temp.
  • Clean equipment after use with thinner4/100.

Packages:

  • 5 liter, 18 liter.

Ventilation:

  • for 10% LEL = 65 M 3
  • TLV = 990 M 3

Storage:

  • Appropriate cool and shaded room temp with proper ventilation.
  • Keep lids tightly closed.

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in original sealed pack.

Tools Cleansing:

  • Clean with thinner D-4/100 immediately after complete
