HARD, HUMIDITY ISOLATION COAT, FOR SHIPS, PIPES, TANKERS ETC. Super powerful sealing anti-corrosive red primer and grey mid. layer for long lasting period of time in salty marine environment.
A hard two component epoxy system, high solids, heavy duty. For metal,aluminum and fiber glass marine vehicles. To be coated with Antifouling paint layers for underwater areas and/or Denbergloss ship top layer for above the water areas.
Suitable for aggressive corrosive environment level C5-I and ISO 12944-6 demands, for chemicals (ISO 2812-1), humidity cabinet (ISO 6270), salt spray cabinet (ISO 7253) for level: Durability range – high.

Properties:
- Primer/mid. paint with high mechanical strength and high metal adhesion to surface and to other previous epoxy paints.
- Creates a worthy preparation for painting with Antifouling under the water line and polyurethane aliphatic top coat Denbergloss ship up the water line.
- Anti-corrosive protects from oxidization and rust.
- Durable in high salty moisture environment conditions and in alkali and acid liquids.
- Offering a superior adhesion to iron metals, aluminum, wood and fiber glass. Also used as bridge layer on old paints before painting the layer on top.

- Oil hydraulic resistance point- 65OC for 24 hours without any changes in the quality of film and it shade.
- Solvents durability – 50 cycle rubbing with cloth soaked in MEK – no peeling of paint.
- Distilled water resistance – 4 days in 49oC – no defects of film and adhesion.
- Adhesion test – stick 3M standard tape to surface under pressure of 2 kg and after 1 hr. pull it off – no paint split off the surface.
- Pull-off test – 1000 psi (ASTM D4541-95) 4 tests 110-125 mic. Layer after 7 drying days.
- Salt spray test with scratch – 3000 hr. (ASTM B117-97) , (ASTM D 1654-00 table 1 level 5) – corrosion development < 5 mm from scratch – 2 mm.
- Salt spray ISO 7253 – 1440 hr. with scratch 5 cm. length 2 cm. from edge (3 panels 7×15 cm., < M= C-W =1 ) C= size of scratch with rust, W=5 cm (the scratch size) 250 mic. Dry film – no peeling and corrosion in scratch no more than 1 mm.
- Humidity cabinet – 720 hr. in 30 cycles – no defects. ISO 6270
- Humidity cabinet – ASTM D2247-99 – 3000 hr. 150 mic. Layer coated panel with scratch (ASTM 1654-00 table 1 level 10) – zero rust from scratch.
- Chemical resistance – ISO 2812-1 – 168 hr. with no defects. Tested chemicals: 10% NaOH, 10% H2SO4, Turpentine with 18% aromatics, foe tests Lm-1 water, Lm-2 sodium chloride 5%.
- Immersion in water – 180 days, 7 drying days. Micro Siemens – No conductivity. (= no impregnation of water).
- Fineness of grinding: lusterless – min. 5 (Hegman)
- Erosion endurance: 3200 cycle (BYK Gardener)

Contains:
- A mixture of epoxy resins.
- Fillers, anti-corrosive pigments.

Touch dry time:
- 1-2 hours. (Due to the quick drying time avoid from over spray on hot weather, avoid spraying “dust”)
Drying between layers:
- 16 hours. Final drying: 24 hours.
Application methods:
- Brush, roller, spray.
- Spray gun – it is recommended inter pressure > 4 atm.
- Airless – dilution 0-5% nozzle 0.021 ” inlet pressure 5-7 atm.

Thinning:
- Thinner D-4/100. (MIL-T-81771 Type II)
- 10-25% by volume -according to need. if orange peel appearance you can increase the dosage to 35%
- Spraying with spry gun – 10-25%
- Airless – 0-5%
Surface preparation:
- A thorough cleaning needed from dirt, dust and loose paints.
- On old paint – sand well and clean with air pressure, clean with dry clean cloth soaked with thinner.
- Iron Metals – recommended but not must – sand blast cleaning till white metal.
- Very big surfaces –remove the paint with paint removers and wash with water for neutralizing. Sand/spray soft sands or plastic powder for light roughness. Rinse with water and dry completely.
Primer:
- Epoxyden ship primer red is first layer primer.
Top color:
- Above water – Denbergloss ship.
- Under the water line – Tutgum Antifouling.

Instructions for use:
- Open carefully parts A and B and stir separately.
- Pour from two parts in the right ratio the required amount and mix well with mechanical mixer (operated by air pressure is recommended for safety reasons) for a uniform mixture.
- Spray a layer of at least 100-125 microns thickness dry film. If necessary if the layer does not completely uniform or part of surface not painted, wait about 4-12 hours for complete drying and spray another layer.
- Wash the equipment well immediately after finishing painting.
Pot Life after mixing the mixture a + b of 5 liters:
- 15oc – 140 minutes.
- 20oc – 130 minutes.
- 25oc – 120 minutes.
- 30oc – 100 minutes.
- 35oc – 90 minutes.
Ventilation:
- Quantity air needed for 1 liter of blend paint :
- Achieving 10% of the LEL = 65M3
- To obtain the TLV = 990 M3
Packaging:
- 3.35 +1.65 = 5 liters.
- 10 + 5 = 15 liter.

- Keep lids tightly closed.
