Fire protection electrical cables Denbercryl Antiflaim
Anti-fire coating for electrical cables – 3 hours protection.
Standard 931
Characteristics:
- Expanded acrylic suitable for outdoor and indoor use, provides fire protection for electrical cables.
- Fast drying, ready for painting with another layer every 4-6 hours depending on the ambient temperature.
- Excellent adhesion to coating electrical cables.
- Excellent adhesion to fireproof paint layers from the same family
- Easy to apply by applying and spraying, flexible and does not crack.
- Prevents the spread and development of fire – inflates and emits gas that extinguishes the flame.
- Suppresses smoke, insulates heat and inhibits the spread of heat to the infrastructure.
- Diluted with water, it can be applied as paint on electrical cables and rock wool in fire passages and various elements.
- Inflates up to 60 times and physically moves the fire away from the infrastructure it protects.
- Does not contain solvents, does not contain asbestos, does not emit toxins in a fire.
Uses:
- For application on individual electrical cables and vertical and horizontal electrical cable braids.
- For application on rock wool in fire passages.
- and for application inside electrical cabinets.
- For application on grids and electricity channels.
Technical data :
- Effective coverage – 2 mm provides protection of 181 minutes of insulation and 181 complete minutes for electrical cables, standard 931 MTA test No. 9311914963/1 (tested for 3 hours at 1,000 degrees)
- Flammability degree – 5 (out of 5) standard 755 test 8111202204 (equivalent to ASTM E84-15- FLAME SPREAD)
- Smoke density level – 2 standard 755 MTA test 8111202204
(equivalent to SMOKE DEVELOPED ASTM 84-35)
- Degree of deformation and dripping – 3 standard 755 MTA test 8111202204
- UV resistance – 500 hours ASTM D 4355
(exposure to simulated UV degradation testing, such as seventy percent (70%) strength retained after five-hundred (500) hours of exposure in Xenon arc testing (ASTM D4355).
- Flexibility – 1 mm (sheen)
- Density – 1.2-1.3 gm/cm 3
- Viscosity – 20,000 cps (Brookfield)
- Stiffness – 3 Dg (Ericsson)
- Abrasion – 120 microns – 360 cycles (Gardner) ASTM
- Recommended layer thickness – 200 microns wet by spraying. In smears, 500 microns are given in each layer
- Recommended number of layers – as many as required until the desired thickness is obtained, minimum 2 layers for full coverage and to obtain a dry thickness of 1.6 mm along and in all areas of the cables.
- % solids – 70%
Anti-fire coating for electrical cables – 3 hours protection.
Color:
- Standard white.
- gray.
Gloss:
- Matt.
Touch drying :
- 60 minutes. (Due to the quick drying, avoid overspray “dust” when spraying)
- If “dust” is formed during spraying, add water and reduce air pressure to the sprayer.
Drying between layers:
- 2-4 hours. Final: 12 hours.
- Cables exposed to rain must be dried for at least 48 hours before exposure to rain.
Application methods:
- Brushing, rolling, spraying.
- Airless – piston with polyethylene seals is recommended. Spraying with a hose shorter than 20 meters in length due to the viscosity of the material.
Dilution:
- Do not dilute the material with water. Must be sprayed or applied in its existing state.
Area preparation:
- Thorough cleaning of dust, grease, dirt and loose paint.
Primary color:
- Cables are not needed.
- For the galvanized grids and the electrical ducts, on which or in which the electrical cables pass – fireproof anti-flame epoxy primer or anti-flame totagum.
Packing:
- 5 liters, 18 liters.
