Black anticorrosive synthetic base and top paint for solar collectors. Based on zinc phosphate. Absorbs maximum heat.

Technical data:

  • Theoretical coverage – 1 liter for about 20 square meters.
  • Recommended layer thickness – 25-35 microns.
  • Recommended number of layers – 2
  • % solids by volume – 55% < (T.I. 785 part 17).
  • % solids by weight – 65% <
  • Flexibility – 1 mm (sheen)
  • Grinding minutes – up to 20 microns (Ti 785 part 15 – up to 60 microns)
  • Density – 1.15-1.35 gm/cm 3
  • Resistance to immersion in water – no bubbles, no softening, no change in adhesion
  • Viscosity – 1.2-1.4 sec (HAAKE) 78-92 kerbs at 200 revolutions per minute after manual mixing for 2 minutes (TI 935 section 302), after diluting 10% with thinner – 65 kerbs. After 10 days storage at 42 degrees Celsius – Proximity will increase up to 5 Krebs.
  • Adhesion – cris cross cut “0” test (T.I. 785 part 27 film 50 micron 7 drying days)
  • Stiffness – 3 Dg < (Ericsson)
  • Abrasion – 120 microns – 1050 cycles (Gardner) ASTM, American standard ASTM D4060 dry film thickness 200 microns, weight loss – 2 grams per 500 cycles (standard – up to 2.5 grams authorized loss).
  • Salt chamber – 120 hours (ASTM B-117) without rust spots.

Touch drying :

  • 1-2 hours
  • Drying for treatment – 10 hours, drying between layers – 8 hours, final drying – 16 hours.

Application methods:

  • Brushing, rolling, spraying.

Dilution:

  • Brushing/rolling – 10% mineral turpentine
  • Spraying – 30%-20 thinner D18 pressure 3-4 atm
  • Airless – 0-5% thinner D18, “0.018” nozzle – for a thin layer. “0.021” nozzle for a thick layer.
  • Immersion – 100% diluted D18

Area preparation:

  • Chemical – degreasing with degreaser M, rust removal with degreaser 3000. f
  • Mechanical – sand cleaning to grade 2.5 SA/ steel brush ST-3 and
  • Thorough cleaning of dust, grease, dirt and loose paint. and

Packing:

  • 2.5 liters, 5 liters, 18 liters. and
