Characteristics:

  • Coats glass and prevents scattering of glass pieces in case of breakage.
  • Airless can be sprayed to coat large glass areas such as in skyscrapers.
  • Flexible and bridges capillary cracks.
  • Penetrates deep into the microscopic grooves and cracks in the glass and fills and strengthens.
  • Transparent and clear as water.
  • The strength of its adhesion to glass allows for a thick coating.
  • Prominently and immediately stops the scattering of glass during breakage.
  • Ready for re-coating, after 24 hours.
  • UV resistant
  • The coating is based on a unique multi-solid elliptical one-component polyurethane.
  • The polyurethane creates a transparent, strong and durable coating with a built-in molecular flexibility suitable for its purpose.

uses:

  • For a protective coating against scattering in case of breakage for all types of glass surfaces.
  • suitable for glass curtain walls,
  • Suitable for coating windows, glass doors, showcases, glass bricks, etc.

Technical data:

  • Touch drying time – in the sun: 4 hours, in the shade: 8 hours, initial drying – 12-16 hours, final drying – 24 hours.

  • Elongation (ELONGATION) – 300%
  • Transparency – clear as water
  • Shore hardness D – 35 (ASTM D2240)
  • Abrasion resistance – 2100 cycle Gardner
  • The viscosity of the mixture – 100 Krebs
  • Pot life – 60 minutes
  • solids – 100%
  • Mixing ratio – 2:1
  • Tensile strength – N/mm 2  30 (DIN EN ISO 527)
  • Tear resistance – N/mm 2  60 (DIN ISO 34 method B)
  • Recommended number of layers – 2-5
  • Recommended thickness of each layer – 60-150 microns without leaks
  • Recommended final dry general thickness – 300-500 microns.

containing:

  • Polyurethane perpolymer.
  • blocked in
  • Special plasticizers.
  • additives.

variety:

  • transparent standard.
  • In UV resistant shades.

Lightning:

  • silk.

Touch drying :

  • 4-8 hours

Drying between layers:

  • 12-24 hours depending on the ambient temperature.

Application methods:

  • Spraying thin layers of 60-150 microns per layer without leaks.
  • More layers will provide better protection and for a longer time.
  • Small areas can be applied with a roller and brush.

Dilution:

  • No dilution in airless
  • If you don’t get a smooth area but an “orange peel”, XL thinner should be added.

Area preparation:

  • Thorough cleaning of dust, grease, dirt and loose paint. and
  • Old and scratched glass, rubbing with “Zero” sandpaper and removing blown grains with air pressure or damp wiping. and
  • Filling cracks with a thick solution of Glas Protector 100 two-component. and

primary color:

  • There is no need for primer, the coating is SELF PRIMERING and

storage:

  • In a cool and shady place at room temperature. and
  • Make sure lids are tightly closed. and
  • Opened packaging must be closed immediately and well and turned over to prevent the penetration of moisture. and

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in the original packaging. and
  • Opened package The entire material must be used, material left in an open package absorbs moisture and dries and cannot be reused. and
