Standards Institute fire resistance approval

Intumescent epoxy coating against fire for electrical insulation, two-component rigid top, 100% solids, for interior and exterior painting, for resistance to particularly harsh conditions including direct exposure to the sun and rain, especially suitable as a top protective coating for electrical insulation of electrical and electronic systems exposed to water and moisture to prevent short circuits, as well as for systems which are in motion for fixation and protection from physical damage that can be caused by vibrations and mechanical blows.

EPOXYDEN 7 ANTIFLAME – INTUMESCENT EPOXY TWO COMPONENT EPOXY TOP COAT for electrical insulation and fire protection

Fireproof epoxy paint/coating for top electrical insulation hard transparent/in shades, smooth and durable decorative. For a protective coating of all types of electrical systems and stationary and mobile electronic equipment for insulation and sealing from moisture and water as well as from damage caused by vibrations of transformers and the like, for strong resistance to mechanical and chemical wear and particularly harsh climatic conditions. Very smooth, dust repellent, can be applied in several layers. Does not fade even with long exposure to the sun. Insulates electricity and prevents the passage of electricity on the coated surface to prevent electrocution and/or short circuit. Inflates on contact with fire and physically moves the fire away.

Characteristics:

  • Excellent electrical insulation.
  • Epoxy swells in fire and protects against fire.
  • Smooth and hard finish.
  • Very washable and repels dust and dirt.
  • High hardness, suitable for outdoor conditions such as electrical cabinets and electrical poles and street lighting.
  • Excellent adhesion to the infrastructure.
  • Resistant to scratches and mechanical damage.
  • Easy to apply, you can get a coating of any thickness in one layer by applying/casting.
  • Chemical resistant.
  • Heat and cold resistance.
  • Does not contain cadmium, lead, chromates.

Uses:

  • As a top layer for electrical insulation of systems that may come into contact with water or high humidity and transmit electricity that can endanger human life and/or cause a short circuit.
  • For painting accessories and parts that produce/transmit electricity and mobile/permanent ground equipment that produces electricity.
  • for coating printed circuits.
  • For coating transformers for sealing and preventing damage from vibrations.
  • For anchoring electronic components and circuits to their assemblies. to prevent disconnection or tearing.
  • To reduce noise and vibrations of electrical equipment.
