Polyplex Sport flexible polyurethane coating for abrasion-resistant floors
Polyurethane floor coating specifications for sports halls :
A. The thickness of the floor is about 7 mm, it has an integral sponge of 5 mm and an upper polyurethane coating of about 2 mm thick. ( Polyplex Sport 2 liters per square meter )
b. On top of the top layer there will be a protective layer that allows for easy and economical maintenance
. .
d. The floor will be resistant to erosion.
e. The floor will be slip resistant.
and. The floor will have a uniform thickness, uniform color and flexibility.
G. It will be possible to choose a variety of colors or textures of the surface
H. Sufficient contrast must be ensured between the floor of the hall and the walls and ceiling which helps orientation. The desired light reflections from the floor are less than 45% EN ISO 2813 standard test with an 85° lens,

ninth. Application instructions
- Planetary diamond vacuum polishing of the concrete floor for smoothing and alignment.
- Thorough suction.
- A layer of transparent penetrating epoxy floor primer .
- Laying black grained rubber mats with a thickness of 5 mm and gluing it to the primer with a two-component polyplex adhesive . Care must be taken to have a uniform gluing to obtain a completely flat surface. The rubber mat will give the flexibility required of a sports hall floor, will absorb noise and approximately 80% of the energy invested in it, thus preventing serious injury in case of a fall.
- 24 hours after the gluing and the hardening of the flexible glue, Polyplex Sport should be applied to the entire surface at “zero” height so that all the spaces between the rubber surfaces and the pores in the rubber layers are filled and we get a smooth and sealed uniform surface.
- After 24 hours of drying comes the casting stage of Polyplex Sport with a thickness of 2 mm. Prepare a mixture of an 18 liter tin, mix A + B well, transfer to another bucket and pour in a corner of the hall along the wall. With a toothed spreading comb spread to a thickness of 2 mm and pass With a spiked roller to remove bubbles and final smoothing, and so on in sequence without breaks, until the entire floor of the hall is covered. This flexible polyurethane castings can be made in a variety of shades and shapes as per the imagination. This surface is flexible and very strong and wear-resistant and suitable for bouncing a ball.
- After 24-48 hours of drying, the marking phase. These are made with Denbergloss Fluor in white color and in shades to mark all types of sports fields basketball, volleyball, football, etc. Painting with a 4″ fiber fiber roller with stencils or strips of masking tape. Cleanliness must be maintained – any dirt or marks will remain permanently. under the varnish.
- After fully drying for at least 24 hours, an anti-slip and anti-reflective silk matte finish layer (sheen lower than 45%), Denbergloss Floor Clear orange peel, transparent (or colored if marking above – not recommended). A layer with a fine roughness that prevents slipping both when wet (sweat, etc.) and also prevents light reflections that interfere with photography and prevents the reflection of lighting from the floor that impairs pleasant viewing.

Area preparation:
Cement infrastructure –
- Planetary diamond polishing and thorough vacuum suction, primer 450 for moist areas.
- Renewal of existing coating – thorough cleaning of dust, grease, dirt and loose paint. Degreasing detergent application and broom scrubbing.
- Spraying water at a minimum pressure of 200-150 atm and waiting for complete drying. (It is better without water to work on dry only)
- Rubbing with sandpaper to remove grains and thorough vacuuming.
- If concrete is exposed, apply primer 450.
- Filling large holes and dents with epoxy putty.
- Filling constructive cracks with polyplex mastic after widening and deepening the crack.
Asphalt infrastructure –
- High pressure washing – and full drying.
- Primer layer – with the material itself 0.5 mm thick.
primary color:
- On dry concrete – epoxy floor primer .
- On damp concrete – epoxy primer 450 .
- And on asphalt – there is no need, the Polyplex Sport itself is used as a primer in the first layer without dilution.
Application of Polyplex Sports 100% Solids:
- Open parts A and B
- Mix part A well.
- Pour into a clean container the required amount from part A, 3 parts and add to it 1 amount from part B (ratio 3:1) and mix well
- Pour into another clean container and mix lightly again.
- The mixture is ready to be poured or applied.
- The process has to be carried out quickly and pour all the contents otherwise a thick layer in the bucket will start to boil within 10 minutes and the material will be unusable.

For sports halls for floor gymnastics and ball games:
- On request – rubber coating if required (mainly for ground gymnastics) in adhesion. (or no rubber)
- An intermediate layer armored with fibers for reinforcement or with a polyester mesh in a second layer .
- Smooth or rough third top layer Denbergloss or Aqua Flex (orange peel) to prevent slipping.
For skating rinks:
- An intermediate layer armored with fibers for reinforcement or with a polyester mesh in a second layer .
- Smooth or rough third top layer Denbergloss Flour (orange peel) to prevent slipping.
