Surface preparation:  high water pressure washing to remove any salts and dirt. Sand cleaning to grade SA-2.5 or polishing with steel brushes to grade ST-3, the surface should be clean and dry of any dust, dirt, grease and/or loose paint. Covering with masking tape parts not to be painted (nickel/chrome railings, wooden parts, anodes, etc.). Avoid over-spray during spraying due to too high a pressure and/or too large a spraying distance and/or a lack of thinner in the mixture.

The recommended paint systems for painting the vessel parts after sand cleaning/polishing:

  1. To extend the service life of the antifouling layers and considering the high cost of taking the ship out for painting, it is recommended to apply another antifouling layer, possibly blue. Better fifth layer black, sixth layer red and seventh layer blue.
  2. Decks: polish well, red Epoxy Ship Primer, gray Epoxy Ship Decks in 1 mm casting, Denbargloss anti-slip top layer.
  3. It is recommended to lower the entire boat into the water after 24 hours of finishing spraying the last antifouling layer.
