pure zinc coating for quality cathodic protection that prevents rust for many years.

What is the galvanization? – The term  galvanization is a chemical process of coating iron or steel with zinc ( Zn )  to  prevent corrosion  (  mainly  –  rust ). The process is carried out by “hot dipping” or cold coating of zinc with a synthetic binder called ” zincoat ” or an epoxy binder called ” zinc-rich epoxyden “. The zinc coating prevents the  oxidation of the protected metal by creating a protective layer. Rust develops only after the zinc is gone from the metal. This is the secret to the longevity of the iron’s protection from rust.

Cold galvanizing – a zinc coating method for ferrous metals without the need for immersion in a hot galvanizing bath. Without the need to send to a galvanizing factory and perform it yourself in a hardware store/factory or in the customer’s field.

Zincoat – one-component air drying synthetic base paint high in pure zinc for cold galvanizing for ferrous surfaces as a substitute for a hot coating process which provides high-quality anticorrosive cathodic protection for an extended period of time.

ZINKCOAT – Cold steel galvanization  – air drying, synthetic  one component primer rich with zinc

Zincoat cold galvanizing in light zinc – a zinc-rich paint used for cold galvanizing to coat steels to prevent rust for a long time. An excellent replacement for hot galvanizing, without the need for heating. One-component synthetic easy and convenient to use, can be applied in the field on areas and/or on welds for local repair to complete a galvanizing sequence, does not require cumbersome transportation back and forth to a galvanizing plant for immersion in hot zinc, especially for painting metals – gives a spectacular professional industrial appearance, constitutes a high-quality cathodic protection that prevents Rust development for many years. In conditions of salinity and/or corrosiveness in the air, the zinc layer must be coated with a protective layer of synthetic paint Topcolor or Polydur or Totagum chlorinated rubber, or Dunbargloss polyurethane. Does not contain lead.

ASTM A 780-01 4.2.2 Paints Containing Zinc Dust—These are usually based on organic binders, pre-mixed and formulated specifically for use on steel surfaces. Paints containing zinc dust, with concentrations of zinc dust in the range of 65 to 69% or above 95% in the dried film, are considered equally effective for the repair of damaged galvanized coatings. The repair paint to be used shall be selected by the galvanizer, unless the purchaser specifies a particular concentration or paint system. Corrosion resistance and service performance are very dependent on the properties of the paint system, the extent of surface preparation, and the skills of individual applicators. Annex A2 describes the use of paints containing zinc dust. Specification D520 describes the zinc dust component of these paints.
