Properties:

Applications:

  • Basic primer paint for light emitting and reflecting paints.
  • For painting primer coat on walls, doors, columns, products, Plastics, wood, metal, warning and guidance signs, cellars, public buildings etc. before painting fluorescent or posfluorescent paints.
  • For a general purpose painting includes various accessories and transportation.

Technical data:

  • Consumption: 100-200 gr/m2 (average: 0.18 kg/m2 )
  • Coverage- l liter/7-9 m2.
  • Flexibility- 1 mm (Sheen). Israel standard 935 part 307
  • Grinding: < 50 mic. Israel standard 785 part 15 – < 60 mic.
  • Density- 1.2-1.3 gr/cm3.
  • Resistance to immersion in water: no bubbles, no softness, no adhesion changes (standard 935 part 312)
  • Bleeding stability: not less than level 6 according ASTM D-868 and ASTM D-969
  • Resistance to fuels and solvents: stable according ASTM D-2792-93
  • Erosion: 120 micro film – 1050 cycle (BYK Gardner), ASTM D4060 200 mic. dry film – loos 2 grams weight to 500 cycles (the standard allows 5 grams loss)
  • Strength to pilling : > 5 kg/cm2
  • Resistance to heat 70OC: with no changes in properties or deformation.
  • Recommended number of layers – 2-3,
  • Viscosity- 0.5-1.5 Pa.Sec (Hakke).
  • Hardness- over 10 Dg (Erichsen).
  • UV durability: 5 years under sun (accelerated erosion test)

Colors:

  • White.

Gloss:

  • Matte, (Israel standard 935 part 309).

Touch-Dry:

  • 10-20 minutes (Avoid spraying with Over spray). (If formed dust Retarder must be added).

Dry Between Layers:

  • 5 hours, Final: 3 hours.

Implementing Method:

  • Brush, Spray, roller.

Dilution:

  • Brush/roller -– 5-10% thinner D-32.
  • Spray-.10-30% D-32 Thinner, 3-4 pressure.
  • Airless- 5-10% D-32 or D-11, 4-5 pressure, nozzle 0.015″.

Surface preparation:

  • New galvanization- gently polishing for removal of top zinc salt, and cleaning with Degreezer M for removal of dirt, grease, dust.
  • Old galvanization- rough polishing in rusty areas for removal of all rust and gentle polish for the rest for removal of top zinc salt, and cleaning with Degreezer M for removal of dirt, grease, dust.
  • Other surface – thoroughly clean from dirt, dust, grease.

Packing:

  • 1, 2.5, 5 and 18 liters.

Storage:

  • Store in well shaded place, room with appropriate ventilation.
  • Keep lids tightly closed.

Shelf Life:

  • 12 months in original pack.

Tools Cleaning:

  • At the end of the application with D-32 or D-21

Quality control:

  • In factory laboratories according to specifications.

Safety precautions:

  • Inedible, keep away from the reach of children.
  • Flammable – keep distant from heated areas, fires, flames, and sparks, Prohibit smoking in working area.
  • While applying, good air ventilation is important. In case there is not enough air, use ventilation according to the ventilation table.
  • Wear protective glasses, gloves and suits.
  • Avoid direct contact of the paint and/or thinner with the eyes and skin. In case of contact, immediately wash thoroughly with water.
  • In case of an injury immediately get doctors assistance.
  • Read the safety instructions on the labels.
