Aluma silicon 540A is a high temperature resistance (up to 540oC) Antistatic, electric conductive organic silicon resin top layer paint. Produced in gray or black shades. A top industrial hard paint based on special organic silicon resins for painting high heat emitting elements up to 540O C. The paint is cured without external heating. Providing protection and resistance to high heat emitting elements, as well as for electro static electricity grounding.

Suitable to paint: turbines, heat exchangers, chimneys, stoves etc.

Methods of application:

  • Spray, brushing, roller.
  • First layer by spraying.
  • Second layer with roller.
  • If the material is not uniform and behaves like mercury (forming drops) due to inner high pressure stress, the surface is to be painted and after waiting 60 seconds paint again, until a smooth surface is obtained.
  • It is recommended to mix the paint well before and during painting.

Thinning:

  • Thinner D-32
  • Spraying: 5-10% thinner D-32 pressure 4-5 atm. (can do without thinning).
  • Brushing/roller: up to 5% (can do without thinning).
  • Airless: 0-5% thinner D-21 pressure 5-6 atm. 0.015” nozzle (can do without thinning).

Surface preparation:

  • Mechanical or chemical cleansing until metal is white.
  • Mechanical: grade ST3 steel brushes.
  • Chemical: rust remover 3000;  grease/oils with degreaser M.
  • Sand blasting grade: SA 2.5
  • The surface must be clean from dust, dirt, grease or loose paint.
  • For repainting top coat – spray hot water in 150- 200 atm. pressure and let it dry completely.
  • Sand lightly with glass paper and clean thoroughly.
